Clinic skin care misconceptions

It is rather unfortunate that despite so many people being so very conscious about skin care, there still exist quite a bit of misinformation about clinical skin care which often instills doubts and unreasonable fears about this entire process. One of the biggest misconceptions about clinical skin care is that one should wash his or her face on a regular basis so as to keep acnes away. You might have come across this little piece of advice quite often but washing your constantly does not help in any manner whatsoever as far as reduction of acnes is concerned. On the contrary, washing your face a bit too often will in fact strip your skin off the natural oils that are essential for your skin. And without these oils, you will be inviting more skin problems as dry skin is more susceptible to acnes. So do not wash your skin more than twice or thrice a day so as to maintain the level of oils on your skin.

Another similar myth about clinical skin care is that scrubbing of the face can lead to the reduction of excess oils secreted by the skin. There are many people who live with this misconception that scrubbing of the face twice a week can reduce the level of sebum produced by the skin. However, this is nothing but a myth. Scrubbing of face a bit too often might in fact cause blemishes and pimples. So keep scrubbing limited if you want to keep your skin healthy and blemish free for a long period of time.

There is yet another myth about acnes which is that these automatically reduce with age. Quite a few people live with this belief that their acnes and pimples will reduce with age. However, there is absolutely no relation between age and pimples. If you are really serious about getting rid of them, then make some lifestyle chances and eat healthy food instead of munching on junk. By doing so, you will be able to detoxify your skin and allow it to cleanse it from within. So do not just sit and wait but take some healthy steps for your skin so as to be able to enjoy a younger and smoother skin for a long period of time.
