3 skin care products misconceptions debunked

When it comes to skin or beauty related products, we all have fallen to some or other myths in the past. Here are a few of them that are most common of all:

• Myth 1: Only those skin care products are good which are costly

Fact: Products’ quality is not defined by the price tag but through its ingredients. There are a lot of products available in Australia which belong to some of the best skin care brands but are not very expensive. Yet their results have met people’s expectations time and again. So it is better to look for quality than price while making a decision.

• Myth 2: The newest and the latest products are the best

Fact: A lot of products are re-branded or marketed as new by simply changing the packaging of the products. Quite often the only benefit of the latest and the newest product is the marketing muscle. Some of the most amazing and effective products available at drug store have enjoyed long track records of success. So it is not at all necessary for them to be brand new to provide excellent or better results than their older counterparts. Do not let yourself fall prey to the marketing gimmicks of the manufacturing companies as it will only benefit them, not you.

• Myth 3: Anti ageing creams can make people look youthful

Fact: Again, this is nothing but a huge myth because there is no cream available in the market that can make you look significantly younger. If you want to get rid of your wrinkles, you will have to go for wrinkle removal procedures both invasive and non invasive to get the best results. Otherwise, you will simply be wasting your money and making the companies richer with your money. So do not fall prey to such things and make decisions wisely.

Why should you be cautious while purchase beauty products online

The advent of online shopping stores has made life such a breeze for the shoppers, especially the shopolholics who just cannot stay away from making a purchase almost on a regular basis. This mode of shopping has offered a very efficient and quick way of making purchases, and the best part is that you are not required to move an inch from your house while shopping through this medium. It is almost a perfect way of shopping unless of course you do not keep some important factors in mind while purchasing online, especially when it comes to skin care products.

Some of the most well renowned cosmetic brands have been facing a lot of complaints of late about their products that are being sold through e-shopping websites. Many of their products have either been found to be fake, out of date or from grey market. This is a matter of concern not just for the company owners but even online shoppers.

There was this recent case where the customer bought a fake cosmetic product from a not so famous online store. The main ingredient of the product which gives it a yellow tinge, it was found, had  been replaced with saffron. Obviously, she was really upset as she felt cheated but there was nothing that she could do about it as the site selling the product refused to refund.

There are a lot of companies which are now witnessing a surge in the complaints related to bad reactions as the sale of fake or outdated products through online medium has increased considerably in the recent times.

This is one big reason why you should be very carefully while buying skin care products online. There are a lot of online stores these days but most of them are not reputed like Amazon. And these sites lure customers by offering great deals and discounts. However, when customers actually receive the products, most of them end up being fake or outdated. And the worst part is that when they complaint about it, they get little help from the so called customer care department. So make sure that you only make purchases from reputed online stores so that you can get assurance about the quality of product being delivered at your doorstep.
