Useful skin care tips

Quite a lot of people around the world, especially women, spend a lot of time as well as money so as to keep their face look as youthful and as attractive as possible. They purchase expensive cosmetic products believing that it would help them keep their skin fresh and wrinkle free for the longest possible. And there is no harm in purchasing quality cosmetic products for skin care as they play an important role in cleansing and improving the texture of your skin while simultaneously protecting you from external harms such as ultra violet rays and pollutions which our skin encounters on a regular basis. However, it is equally important to maintain a healthy and well balanced skin care regimen, especially when you enter your 30s as this is the time when the collagen production begins to slow down. Therefore, it requires external products to maintain its levels.

A good skin care regimen can basically be divided into 4 steps –

Cleaning

Exfoliating

Moisturizing

Sun Screen Application

To get best results, it is important that you spend your money on quality products from branded and reputed companies only.

While cleaning your skin, it is important to ensure that you do not over do it. Otherwise, it will suck out all the moisture from your skin, which in turn could invite fine lines at a much younger age. Avoid bar soaps at all costs. Use warm water while cleaning your face as it quickly loosens up all the dirt that clogs up the pore of your skin. Remove all your makeup from your face before using a cleanser. After waking up in the morning, just use lukewarm water for cleansing. Use cleansers in the evening or after spending a day out.

Exfoliation is another important step that a lot of people avoid. In fact, it is the most important one to keep the occurrence of wrinkles at bay for the longest possible time period. Women need exfoliation more than men as men exfoliate through shaving. It is one of the reasons why men’s skin looks younger than women’s. Whether or not you should use a toner is a matter of debate, however, as most skin specialists suggest that cleanser does the job.

After exfoliation, it is important that you hydrate your skin with a good moisturizer. And before stepping out in the sun, wear a good sunscreen with an SPF of 30+.
